Why are you memorizing Romans 8?
It never would have occured to me to memorize Romans 8 if it weren’t for Katherine Wolf…and honestly, the crisis she is in. Big passages of scripture memory just seemed like something a certain type of ’super’ person could do…..a person who has a unique memory & ability…or it is for the young ‘kids’. So, this is a big deal for me! I am inspired by Katherine…and if ever I think this is ‘too hard’….I’ll just read her mom’s blog (there’s a link on katherinewolf.info) and that will stop those thoughts in their tracks. Katherine knows the power of God’s word and she wants her life to point people towards Christ…and ironically in her utter weakness, God is glorifying himself through her in extraordinary ways.
So, I am memorizing Romans 8 because I know God can do unimaginable things in my heart and my life when I unleash the power of the word of God….and in honor of Katherine.
Just so you know…. because it is so hard for me, I am highly motivated to re-invent scripture memory and find innovative and undiscovered ways to put scripture in my heart. I want us all to ‘think outside the box’ and share with each other new ways to memorize. We have a creative God and I think ’scripture memory’ needs a revival!

Hi Sydney,
Thanks so much for the podcast and starting this movement. I live in Athens, GA and attend same church as Katherine’s parents. We are all continually praying, thanks be to God for prayer, giving those of us who cannot physically be there feel of use.
I have a daughter Katherine’s age and a beautiful granddaughter. This is really pulling at my heart strings for James and for Jay also. I know how lost my son-in-law and granddaughter would be without Ashley.
I am planning to use this as a call to prayer and also to start memorizing scripture again. Just think if a Grandmother can memorize this you can too!

HI- this is going to be hard (memorizing), no doubt, as I have two sons- one 2 1/2 and 8 months, but I also think it will be so POWERFUL. Thank you for starting this movement. I look forward to the journey.
I met Katherine when she was very young. I graduated from the same private school in Athens- 6 year before her. I have been touched so deeply by her crisis. God is working on me in a special way through this… thanks again!

My good friend and sister in Christ sent me this link. I do not know Katherine, or her family, or friends, but I am encouraged by her story. I live in Dallas and am currently working fulltime and going to school fulltime, and serving with a ministry part time, so my plate is pretty full. I’ve always wanted to memorize a large passage of scripture, I just kept putting it off. This site has encouraged me to just do it! Through the power of Christ I can do this. Thanks for your site.
